At the end of a discussion of the three factors currently affecting Israel's security and strategic position, IDF Head of Military Intelligence Maj.-Gen. Aharon Ze'evi (Farkash) tossed out a fourth item:
A fourth factor I regard as a primary force shaping Israel's strategic environment is Israeli policy.
